Join The Lone Coyote as she laughs and complains her way through one of the strangest and most dysfunctional educational experiences imaginable: medical school (and hopefully residency someday too).
I must remind all readers that the stories told on this blog should not serve as a substitute for visiting your physician if you need medical advice. Yes, the Internet can be a wonderful tool for finding health information. But it can also be dangerous. So use common sense and don't try to diagnose yourself based on lists of symptoms you read online, or on the musings of a medical student in training.
I have been HIPAA trained and respect the privacy of patients that I see during my training. All details are changed to protect confidentiality, and some patients may actually be composites of several patients I have seen. If I have any doubts that someone might be able to figure out the identity of a patient from my stories, I do not write about the patient.
With that out of the way, enjoy the blog.
